Wedding reflectionsRehearsal for the Ultimate Ceremony

At our initial interview, we will go over the Processional, Altar Positions and the Recessional.  Then I will chart them down, choreograph the entire ceremony and provide you with a detailed outline of the Ceremony prior to your wedding day.  On the wedding day, I will go over every aspect of the ceremony with your DJ, Photographer, Event Coordinator and Videographer.

Rehearsals are so important.  Equally important is for the Bridal Party to arrive on time.  Far more goes into a beautiful wedding ceremony than meets the eye.  During the Rehearsal you will learn all that is required of your performance, then you will practice how to do it.  You will know how to pose, hold your bouquet, how to escort the Bride to the altar, repeat your vows, place the wedding rings on each other's finger, light the unity candle or pour the sands for the Sand Ceremony or present Roses to your Mothers. These steps need to be practiced so that each phase of the ceremony flows smoothly, seamlessly, beautifully and so that on your wedding day everyone will be confident and poised.

During the Processional, will the Mothers enter first carrying the Unity Sand or Light the Unity Candles?  Will they be escorted by the Groom's father?  We decide then how the Groom will make his entrance...walk in alone or with the Best Man or is he standing at the altar before the ceremony begins?  How will the Groomsmen enter...single file with the Groom and Best Man, or escorting the Bridesmaids?  Who are the Groomsmen paired with if they escort the Bridesmaids in?  Does the Maid or Matron of Honor enter alone or is she escorted by the Best Man?  Will the Ring Bearer have the actual rings on the pillow, will he stand at the Altar or sit immediately after the processional?  Will the Flower Girl drop petals and will she sit after the processional or stand at the Altar?  What music will be needed for the Processional...one, two or three songs?  The Bride and her escort need to know where to stop, when to pull back the veil...and as you can see there is so much more to practice.

At the Altar, we will briefly go through the wedding ceremony.  Everyone will know exactly where to stand once they enter and perform any duties they are assigned.  We will practice with props.  I will bring bouquets for the Bride and her Bridesmaids so they will know how to properly hold them and when the Bride should pass her bouquet to her attendant.  I will bring flower baskets and ring pillows so the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer know how to hold them.  I will bring the Mother's long stemmed roses so you may practice how to give and receive them.  The Bride and Groom will actually pour sand during the Sand Blending Ceremony or light the Unity Candles.  I will show you how to stand, where to face and everything else that is needed.  By the Rehearsal's end, everyone will be confident with their performance.

During the Recessional, we will practice exiting and walking down the aisle. When to stop for the Second Kiss, and how the Groomsmen escort the Bridesmaids out.

Rehearsals are typically an hour long.  Therefore, it is important for all members in your Bridal Party attend as well as other participants, such as your parents, escorts, readers, and ushers.  I would again stress the importance that they arrive on time.
